‘I give you life and life abundantly’
Tsunami Waves Banner Series
These series of Tsunami Wave banners are designed to encourage us to go for more - for all God wants for us - not the small portion we may have come to expect. Using these banners in prayer, declaration or ministry help us to look up- to raise our expectation of the God of more than enough.
Sometimes we fall under the misunderstanding that God only wants to give us the bare minimum. We expect “just enough” rather than expecting extravagantly, “infinitely more than all we can ask or imagine”.
As banner wielders we can partner with God to begin to shift the situation we and others find ourselves in, not in tiny increments but in a huge wave of change.
In Isaiah 59:19 it says, “When the enemy comes in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard (banner) against him and put him to flight [For He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives].”(AMP)
The imagery is that of a flash-flood contained by the walls of a narrow canyon in the desert in Israel - a inland tsunami that suddenly overwhelms the enemy and washes everything away before it!
Sometimes we restrict ourselves to man-sized interventions rather than God-sized interventions. Ephesians 3:19-20 expresses this sense of much more than we expect in the following way:
“…so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself. Now to the Him who is able to carry out His purposes and do super-abundantly more than all we dare ask or think, infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes and dreams, according to His power that is at work within us.’ (AMP)
God can do awe-inspiring, immeasurable, tsunami-like things that are greater than you could ask or imagine.
So, let’s start asking big! Tsunami-sized big!
Tsunami Waves of Prosperity
Some Christians gag on the concept of prosperity, comforted by a history of poverty and just getting by. Others seem to make prosperity the central focus of their gospel. Neither extreme is healthy.
The Bible present a balanced perspective- with tsunami waves of prosperity available- but not the focus of our lives.
Deuteronomy 8:18 says it is the Lord your God who gives you power to get wealth, Proverbs 10:22 declares that the blessings of the Lord bring true riches, and He adds no sorrow to it for it comes as a blessing from God. (AMP) and in Philippians 4:19 we are told that God will liberally and fully supply our every need from His own riches. Malachi 3:10 links this tsunami of prosperity pouring out of heaven as a blessing until all needs are satisfied to bringing the tithe into the storehouse and in 1 Kings 2:3 prospering in all we do is a result of walking in His ways. In 2 Chronicles 31:21 the worker prospered as He sought his God and working with all his heart. Joshua 1:8 says those who meditate on Gods law, and do it will make their way prosperous and will have good success.
Keep your life free from the love of money and be content with what you have for He has said I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5) Walk in His way, follow Him with all your heart and ask Him to supply tsunami waves of prosperity to meet every need. And He who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we can ask or think, according to the power at work in us.
It is the thief who steals and destroys, but Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly! John 10:10.
