‘The Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead...’
On this banner we have tried to convey what the resurrection of Jesus meant. The shape, the movement, the colours all speak of immeasurable power. So much power was available to raise the Son of God from the dead that had it not been controlled and contained it could have blown a great crater where they laid Him in the garden.
The inside of the tomb is bright with light; the power unleashed at that moment was even greater than an atomic reaction. The banner portrays the impact of the power and the presence of God on the physical realm - the door has been blown off, the rocks are shattered and fly from the site of the explosion with great force. The banner has pieces torn from it to represent the blasting away of physical material in this wonderful climactic event when Jesus Christ arose strong and mighty in the early hours of that resurrection morning.
Jesus, in victory, triumphed over the grave, being raised from death to provide a new, everlasting and victorious way for mankind to enter into the reality of forgiveness before God. Because of His atoning sacrifice on the cross and through the power of the resurrection of The Lord Strong and Mighty - we have victory!
