‘The Bride has made herself ready.’
Design Description:
This banner is a lioness snuggling up to a Lion.
It represents us as believers; the Bride of Christ, pressing and nuzzling into Jesus the bridegroom, the lion of the tribe of Judah.
The image is framed by four columns of a huppah or wedding canopy in anticipation of the wedding feast to come.
The design was born of the conviction that Believers in Jesus Christ need to press in to learning to be the bride of Christ. It the modern age we are often too busy to just nuzzle in to Jesus and feel His presence and enjoy His company.
I believe that as we wait with great anticipation for the day when we will be united with our Bridegroom there are things that will hasten that day.
Until then, we remain faithful to Him and say with all the redeemed of the Lord, “Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20).
There are 4 things we can do to make ourselves ready and speed His return:
- Pray for Justice: Unceasing prayer for speedy justice (Luke 18:1–8).
- Support Israel: The salvation of Israel and Jerusalem to become a praise on the earth (Isaiah 62:6–7; Acts 1:6–8; Romans 11:25–26).
- Spread the gospel of the kingdom of God: This gospel of the kingdom will be preached and demonstrated to all nations; then the end will come (Matthew 4:23; 24:14, 28:19–20; Mark 16:15–16).
- Grow unity: The Church shall be one even as the Father and Son are one. Unity with God and with one another will manifest the most glorified, unified witness for Christ (John 17:20–26).
Name of the LORD: YHWH Goelekh The Lord Your Redeemer
Bible Verses:
“When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out with the army nor be charged with any duty; he shall be free at home one year and shall give happiness to his wife whom he has taken. Deuteronomy 24:5
For as a young man marries a virgin, So your sons will marry you; And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So your God will rejoice over you. Isaiah 62:5
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. Ephesians 5:25-27
Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Revelation 19:7-9
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:1-2
