Under the Blood

I noticed Margaret, an Australian friend of mine, had purchased quite a number of “The Blood” banners recently. Curious, I asked her why she was going through so many. Her answer, in part, was that she was giving them away. But she also told me an interesting story that I would love to share with you.

Margaret believes that “The Blood” banner declares the power of Jesus’ blood into the spirit realm. Symbolically, it ‘speaks’ - declaring the truth of this power into the Heavens.

For Personal Protection
Margaret has personally used the “The Blood” scarf when she knew she was going into dangerous places of spiritual battle. As well as a comfort and reminder for her, it gives the enemy a warning that as a blood-bought child of God, Satan can not to touch her.

She has also given a number of scarves and banners to friends in need of spiritual protection. This was based on the principles found in Hebrews 11:28 (AMP): “By faith (simple trust and confidence in God) he instituted and carried out the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood [on the doorposts], so that the destroyer of the firstborn (the angel) might not touch those [of the children of Israel].” And Hebrews 12:24 (VOICE): “You have come to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant between God and humanity, and to His sprinkled blood, which speaks a greater word than the blood of Abel crying out from the earth.”

For Corporate Protection
Margaret recently visited a conference where the leaders, and most of those attending, were gathered around a few people as they prayed for them. She became aware that some people on the outside of the group were doing unusual things with their arms and bodies and felt the Lord wanted her to raise up “The Blood” banner and wave it as a symbol of protection over the group in the centre.

As she began to do this, she noticed that a friend had taken up another blood banner. He was waving it over the opposite side of the group. As they both stood and prayed for the protection of the blood of Jesus over the gathering, the individuals on the outside of the group ceased their unusual behaviour and then actually left the room.

Both of them continued to stand as guards over the group, with their blood banners flying until all the prayer ministry was completed.

Margaret later asked her friend what had led him to pick up the banner. He said he just knew that he had to fly it for the protection of those in the centre, and that he had never done anything like this before.

I believe banners in general communicate powerfully to humans and to the spirit realm. They are powerful and effective tools to express outwardly what you already know inwardly.
