Taking The Banners Outside
For the last year, a group of people from various churches in our county has been meeting weekly to pray for unity and revival. A few months ago we felt led to go to the gates of our county, put stakes in the ground, blow the shophars, wave flags and make proclamations, declaring that the land is being redeemed and the Kingdom will come.
When David came and conducted a workshop in March we went out again with him, along with some of the big banners that he brought, to the beach near the port gateway. We live on the coast of North Carolina where the port is strategic: Marines deployed to Iraq and other places head out and return from here, along with their equipment. As the sun was setting we prayed, blew the shophars and made declarations about taking the land and setting a hedge of protection around it. It was a very powerful time and the banners were beautiful against the darkening sky. People on the beach were very curious about what we were doing and felt drawn to speak to us.
Next week we are participating in a CROP Walk, a fund-raiser for hunger, where we will walk around our city with people from many area churches. We feel led to carry some banners with us. One of our intercessors has prophesied that there will be harvest coming forth as we do this. There are bound to be questions asked about the meaning of the banners.
It is so exciting to see how God is using the banners outside the walls of the church to usher in His Kingdom. Please share your stories about the things you are doing with banners. It would be such an encouragement to all of us!
