More than a Banner Workshop!

The prophetic worshippers in our area were greatly looking forward to having David Stanfield and his associate, Lynda Turnbull, come to do a banner workshop with us at Healing Waters Ministries in Newport on March 11.

Some of us had met David several years earlier at a conference and were deeply moved by the worship with banners that had taken place there. But we did not anticipate all the wonderful things that happened while he was here; we received training, teaching, impartation, healing and release.

A group of people from the New York area heard about the workshop and came many hundreds of miles to participate. Divine connections were made for the advancement of the Kingdom.

As David explained to us the significance of his half beard, we received a lesson in obedience and the necessity to inquire of the Lord what it is that offends Him.

We learned to use the banners in corporate worship and in corporate and individual ministry, all the while receiving ministry unto ourselves that lead to healing and release.

We live on the coast of North Carolina where there is a strategic port. Many of the Marines deployed to Iraq head out from here. After the workshop, we went to the beach access closest to the port and made prophetic declarations over our port and county as the sun was setting. People on the beach noticed the banners and asked what we were doing. One family asked us to pray for them as well!

At the worship service the next day and at subsequent meetings with other groups there was opportunity to use the banners in powerful worship and ministry. David and Lynda gave us blessings, warnings and encouragement in many areas. Lives have been forever changed.

Before he left, David demonstrated to us how to stake our property and cleanse and dedicate it to the Lord. We are taking the land in our area, hallelujah!

God has significantly blessed us by sending his messenger "for such a time as this," as we are pressing in for revival in our land. We are eager to move forward in His end-time army, an awesome army with banners!

Banners in the Bible

Jeremiah 51:12
Lift up a banner against the walls of Babylon! Reinforce the guard, station the watchmen, prepare an ambush! The LORD will carry out His purpose, His decree against the people of Babylon.

Song of Solomon 2:1-5
I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys. Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the maidens. Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my lover among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste. He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love. Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love.

Isaiah 5:25b,26
…Yet for all this, His anger is not turned away, His hand is still upraised. He lifts up a banner for the distant nations, He whistles for those at the ends of the earth. Here they come, swiftly and speedily!
